AC Schnitzer BMW CLS II

Based on 1/24 Dragon BMW E36 M3 and i would expect this to be a quick build.

what has been done so far:
- modified front/rear bumpers and side skirts
- modified side mirrors (not shown )
- Scratch build fender flares
- Scratch build 18" AC schnitzer type II wheel (i made this for my last BMW build long ago), modified to replicate the look of the AC Schnitzer type I race wheel.
- Scratch build rear spoilers

Up next:
- a few more exterior mods
- A Yellow/Green carbon Kevlar race interior with recaros and harnesses
- custom made decals

BRilliant!

Seems like you have a lot of skills, i love how you did the rounds above the wheels in the widening of the arches...

splendid work all over the place and it came out so clean! Any chance to see some primer shots soon?

And is it modeled after a real car?

Re: AC Schnitzer BMW CLS II

a minor update,

resin casted the wheel

and got it painted, the wheels aren't perfect but good enough to my standard.

took the car apart, fixed some minor imperfections and started priming the body.

Re: AC Schnitzer BMW CLS II

Looks good so far. Seems like it will end up looking just like the one in the photo. Your casting skills are pretty good also.

Re: AC Schnitzer BMW CLS II

more updates, started working on the interior, to be honest, the details that i put into this build is nothing close to the ones in the WIPs, nor do i have the skills to to do so, but please bare with me

Scratch build the ACS 3 spoke steering wheel

The dash that came with the kit lacks the passenger side air bag, have to make my own.

Deatiled with Fujimi carbon kelvar decal and pedals are added

The door panels are filled and primered. i did carbon kelvar the whole thing but didn't take pictures.

Found and used these Recaros from the Tamiya Alfa Romeo 155 DTM kit. Tamiya AS23 light green are used as the base coat with light mists of Mr. colour fluorscent green to bring out that leather look which doesn't show in the pic.

Crazy modeler carbon kelvar are used for the seat backs

Rear seats are gone

The interior is 90% done, just need to work on the 4 point harnesses.

The custom decal looks great BUT none of the yellow coloured ones worked, it just doesn't show on the green paint, have to rework the whole thing again with darker shades of yellow.

needed to find myself a pair of DTM styled exhaust pipes but no luck finding the right ones, made myself a pair using the mid pipes from the Tamiya Alfa Romeo 155 DTM.

still need to get busy with polishing the mirrors bumpers and spoiler

the rear spoiler will be re done to level out the surface

body sanded and polished

Test fitted the pieces and this was taken before polishing the body

thanks for looking
