My winter work (56k no)

Thought I would post up here and let you guys know what I have been up to this winter.

First order of business was to replace my rear main seal as I believed it was the culprit of my oil leak.

Transmission is out:

Old RMS:

New RMS:

As you notice, I don't think it is all my RMS. It looks as if my valve cover gaskets are also leaking. That means a plenum pull sometime in the future for me, yay. Honestly, now that I have done a plenum pull a couple years ago and just dropped my transmission, I rather drop my transmission than pull the plenum.

Now for the fun! I got Eibach lowering springs for my birthday and then I bought KYB AGX adjustable shocks with my tax return.

Here are the front ones installed. I will be getting SPL adjustable camber arms come summer when I start making more money.

When I pulled my exhaust off to do my RMS, I found out how nasty my exhaust really was, the mufflers had holes all over them:

And the cats were aftermarket and whoever installed them just cut the flanges off and welded the cats in!

So I bought a used set of Z1 2.5" test pipes:

And then I finally bought my dream exhaust! Labree 2.5" exhaust with quad-oval tips. They look amazing:

And finally how she looks right now. I haven't been able to drive her at all because of snow, so the springs haven't settled yet so after I drive her a bit, she will become lower. I am excited as hell to try my new suspension pieces out and she sounds amazing.

Re: My winter work (56k no)

Pulling the manifold gets easier with more stuff removed. I can remove it in half an hour now. Small note: SPL has yet to release their Ver. 2 upper arms, no known ETA. Nice additions though.

Re: My winter work (56k no)

Yeah, I have been keeping an eye on the SPL V2 camber arms as they have been in production in about a year now. Last time I asked Kuah about them, which was last year around August, he told me they would be done in December 2007, so hopefully they will be out soon.

LOOKS GREAT!!! LOVE THAT EXHUAST!

Oh and for your oil leak, its a common problem on Z32s. I found this out working for nissan last year. Its the valve covers... easy fix. Just time consuming.

Re: My winter work (56k no)

Exhaust looks nice, Didn't know Labree started offering a Oval exhaust like B&B, smart move by them because the B&B looks great.

Good luck with the Z...glad to see you have taken care of her so well.

BTW: That exhaust has to be LOUD! I haven't heard an NA in a while but I had a stillen cat-back on my car and I remember it being quite loud without testpipes.

Here is a sound clip. It sounds best if you have some bass. It sounds a lot deeper in real life.

Sort of, except K3 sold his Z, mine actually runs, freak is doing more than lusting after new upgrades and 1via isn't here trying to get us interested in his donkey porn collection.

Bah...spring is coming soon enough. Where you located at now Hodo? I know you were talking about a bunch of moves a while ago. Where did you finally end up settling in at?

Re: My winter work (56k no)

Ended up stuck in Fayetteville NC..... Still working on heading further south once engine is done and car is complete. So maybe JUST maybe I might make it back down to Miami FL sometime before the end of the world. LOL

I moved in with my Dad to help him out while my mom works a traveling job so I can help him with some of the bills and have a garage and all my tools to devote to the project. Sometimes its harder moving home than someplace you have never been.
