Re: crx help

your ecu is located under the passenger side carpet where they rest their feet. under the glove box. just pull back the carpet and there should be a plate with 3 nuts holding it and your ecu is underneath. simple plug and play..

Re: crx help

just didnt know if the wire plugins were the same or not.also and who cares if im makeing myself look dumb but anyway.on the firewall on the passenger side there is a box whitch on the 88 si says pm6. the caccume lines go to the intake and the round thing under neith it,do i need to swap these or will the box that is on the 91 hf work? the wire plugins are different is the only reason im asking.oh yea thanks for all the help

Re: crx help

My only point was that it take serious mechanical knowlege to do a motor swap... and if you werent sure if the 2 ECU's would use the same plug, you may want to do some more research before you do this swap as it wont take much to be in over your head and youre stuck without a car because you already started pulling the old motor.

And yes the new ECU will plug into the exsisting harness. but you may have to swap some pins to get it to run right.

And the box I THINK youre talking about is a charcoal canister... and you can either use the exsisting one, or the 91 one

(If anything i said wasnt completly true its cuz im not really a 4th gen guy)

Re: crx help

only way to tell is a compression or leak down test, if everything specs out, its fine... if it doesnt, theres something wrong
