Privatization of roads - NAFTA Tollway?

This hasn't been receiving a lot of media attention, except for Texas causing problems for this idea. But if you google it you can find a lot of info out. Is it just me, or does this sound like an incredibly bad idea? NAFTA really is the worst thing to happen to the U.S. in past few decades (I honestly don't think 9/11 will have as much of a negative impact on the U.S. as NAFTA will eventually have).

Even though Kansas City is some 1,000 miles away from the Southern border, it will function as a U.S. Customs inspection point. Activists believe it is likely that eminent domain land grabs will soar in the coming years as the project steams on. Texas was not among the states with eminent domain restrictions on the ballot Nov. 7.

Spencer noted the TTC will largely be used by truckers from Mexico, who will be transporting goods from Mexico, China and other nations where people work for slave wages.

“The Bush Administration is bending over backwards to accommodate Mexican trucks coming into the United States,” said Spencer. “Worldwide, trucks are the weapons of choice of terrorists. Nobody is going to check [what is really in that truck]. We evidently have a lot of people in the U.S. who have lost their minds.”
No big surprise. They're selling us off piece by piece. Money is God.

These people are looking at a lot of toll roads around the country. I've read that the PA Turnpike is up for lease to the highest bidder.

Well we're on the road to becoming just another 3rd world country if things like this continue to happen....

I've always wondered how long a consumer economy will last without a middle class to keep buying all that cheap ass disposable Chinese shit we all seem to need so damn badly. The way my disposable income keeps shrinking, I'm not contributing much to it right now.
