1986 buick lesaber, EGR problem

1986 buick lesaber 75000 original miles she is my baby, she started to run real bad, shaking stumbling, hesitating. the check engine light came on and off and on as i was driving, and the code i got was "#32 barometric pressure, sensor circuit failure, OR exhaust gas recirculation {EGR} valve diagnostic switch closed during engine start up OR open when EGR flow requested by ECM. OR EGR/EVRV"

the EGR valve is about one year old. this is what i did: Started car, opened hood, look at shaking and stumbling engine. looked at EGR valve and it was fully OPENED.. at normal idle. i pulled of the hose and the engine ran smooth and the power was back. took the car for a ride and it was great but the hose is off the EGR valve and i know thats not good. now what do i do. thanks

There should be a vacuum control 'switch' not too far away from the valve, follow the hose to find it, it's most likely your problem.
