Re: trunk release is not working
if u want to run new wires for the trunk release u need to look at the selonoid when u open ur trunk...its gonna b on the trunk latch.....the wire that comes out of that selonoid is a ground.....run ur ground to the button u push to release the trunk....the other wire on the button is hot....u need to run that to a source that provides 12v...depending on if u want to have to turn the key or not to pop the trunk depends on u....if u want to have the key turned forward to pop it, locate the ign. on ur fuse panel and run the positive wire there.

Re: trunk release is not working
i took the solenoid out i'll put a new bulb in the socket, see if the problem is in the wires. could i test the trunk release wires with a multimeter
i think there is another trunk light harness rolled up and taped, could that be right |

Re: trunk release is not working
the trunk lighty has nothing to do with how the trunk pops open....u can test the ground on the selonoid by hookin up the test light to a positive source....and u can check the positive by hookin it up to a ground on the car and put the test light on the positive wire that goes to ur pop button
