'01 Grand Prix Dies
I have a '01 Grand Prix V6 (not sure of the engine size) with roughly 175K miles.
Driving down the road going anywhere from 10 mph and up the car will stall and die, all of the lights will then come on. Starting the car while rolling or even after stopping it will crank up with no problem. I have even noticed that while driving it will act like it is about the go dead and the RPM gauge will drop and quit working but the car will catch and continue to run. We have changed both the ignition module and fuel filter with no luck. Because the car will sometimes not crank when starting it my husband thinks that it has something to do with it not firing. Please help!

Re: '01 Grand Prix Dies
Your car has every symptom of a bad crank position sensor (especially if it's a 3800). The engine will hesitate, the tach drops to zero, then it dies.
