I want to replace the yellowed stock assemblies and put in some aftermarket assemblies. any tips on difficulty or are they pretty stright forward?

bear in mind i'm asking because i want to do some work when i get home from a trip to the sandbox and i'm looking for some friendly help.

Re: 2000 silverado headlamp assembly

I took mine out 2 days ago to polish them with Plastix. It takes a minute to get them out and no tools required.
Turn the pins out of their latches, lift the pins out and the assembly is free except for removing the bulbs. The housing even indicates where the bulbs need to rotate for them to come out.
By the way, Meguiar's Plastix works okay on the headlights. Not great but okay. It does a great job on the red tailights.

check ebay for replacements if you are interested... there are literally tons of options including some with led rings around them depending on your taste.

Thanks the help is appreciated. I changed the assembly on my accord out and it was a 4 hour ordeal of me purchasing tools that i never used again. Now that I hear its fairly simple and no special tools required i'll be blacking out the truck with new assemblies. More than likely from Ebay as suggested.

Thanks the info is appreciated.
