MAP Sensor, What is it?
What is the MAP sensor and what is its purpose? I mean what does it do in terms of keeping the car running?

Manifold Absolute Pressure sensor. It actually measures vacuum which is negative pressure. When this measurement is combined with throttle opening the computer figures how much load is on the engine and how much fuel needs to be put in.
