97 lesabre a/c problem

I recently bought a 1997 buick lesabre limited and the passenger side ac controller was removed. When I installed the new one it would not light up or do anything. I also have a problem with the main ac controller. The blower motor works when it wants to. Any help would be greatly appreciated

I have a 95 and my heat-a/c control (digital) was going waco for a while and finally quit working. you could tap on the dash and it would change modes and beep a lot. when it .is unplugged the blower blows all the time in defrost mode. Seems these contollers go bad after a while. That said the dealer wants about 6-8 hundred for a new one. So I took mine apart and found some bad connections on the circuit board. Dont know if your good at soldering but i imagine you may have the same problem as myself. especially if you can tap on the dash and change things. Jukyard wants 75 - 100 if you can find one. I couldn't.
