First off you can replace your curse words with *** thank you

Next the fact you rev the engine to 4K and then drop it into gear probally means you need a totally new tranny all together.

Assuming that the tranny sitll works, im pretty sure you have an engine issue, not a tranny issue. Check your spark plugs, making sure they are NGK coppers and the wires are in the correct firing order (4-1-2-3 left to right on the coil packs). Next clean your throttle body. Take it off anc clean all the IAC passages.
After that, replace your Engine Coolant Temerarute Sensor. It is resin tipped and cracks from the coolant sending false data to the PCM. The new ones are brass and will last the life of the car. The sensor is vital to fuel management along with many other systems of the car including the tranny. Your car has two sensors. You need to replace the sensor with the 2-wire connector.

Re: 1995 SL2 having problems

my buddy's 96 does sort of the same thing, but only at op temp. when you step on the gas in drive it falls flat, wont shift has almost no power, and wont really go over 20. it shifts fine into D, R, N, and P, but wont shift gears out of first unless you manually put it into 2nd gear, then it wont shift out of 2nd. i think its the same, as it feels like hardcore slippage but what confused me a bit is that the car drives fine while cold. trans fluid levels are fine, engine runs fine, coolant temp sensor was replaced and didnt help. auto transmissions are my weak point so i was looking for a little help. oh yeah i hooked a scantool up and besides the fact that it wont let me see if there are any transmission dtcs, it lookes like the TC slippage is good but i dont know what its supposed to be. its around idle at idle, then drops to under 100 when you step on it, and line pressure goes up to 160 something. like i said it all looks normal but it feels like the transmission is slipping badly.
