2001 caravan rear door release switch won't work

I have 2001 dodge caravan, till recently the rear door electrical release switch worked just fine, now it stopped w/o any warning (it used to release the latch when pressed, after al the doors were unlocked with a remote or with the door unlock switch from inside the vehicle). There is no back-up button rear door release inside the vehicle but I can still open the rear door latch manually with a key, while simultanously lifting the door. Anyone experieced similar problems?
