Got a couple fun guessing games for you guys!!

Game number 1: NAME THAT PART!!!!!! I found this odd little thing bolted underneith the dash of a 1975 Corvette. It looks like some kind of heat sink although im not really sure what its for.

Game number 2: Is my seat belt retractor still good? From the same 1975 Corvette.

The heat sink is for the Pentium 1/2 processor that was equipped in those model Corvettes. As for the seatbelt... it's still good, nothing a little duct tape can't fix

Those are both options for '75. The heat sink is an LP to digital converter. You just plug in the record player and it does the rest. The seat belt retractor is the fat chick edition. It lets the belt out further to clear her rolls with less tension so the belt don't get sucked in.

Dude, it's the CPU for a Atari 2600

Seriously, I'd have to say a tragic attempt at a amplifier.

Ditto on the big momma belt retracter, only thing, what happened to whale pin hooks? (pre air bag SRS).

Re: Got a couple fun guessing games for you guys!!

how to test seat belt retracter:
step 1: pick up retracter
step 2: find fat chick
step 3: throw retracter at fat chick

does it knock her out cold? if yes the retracter is good, if no u need another retracter and another fat chick to throw the new one at

found that info on a gm website, true story

Re: Got a couple fun guessing games for you guys!!

I know what that is!

The heat sink guess was close, its actiually a frame-to-air intercooler, 1970s technology used to cool the chasis making the whole car more thermally efficient. It was the only way the engineers could get the 180 hp 350 to pass CA smog back in the day.

We did a case study in my thermodynamic engineeing class here at RPI last semester.

And if you cant find enough ductape and/or WD40 to fix the seatbelt, just wrap an extention cord around yourself and the back of the seat.
