VOLKSWAGEN GOLF Mk1 GTI (FUJIMI)

My 2nd built VW in 2008. After the difficult masking of the previous Golf Group2 car, this is rather simple in painting. But lots of mod to achieve the ride height.
90% stock, except the wheels+tires from FUJIMI Mk2 Golf GTI.

Welcome comments on this one. Tks!

Nice, but the headlights looks a bit too big to me.

Nice clean build. Stance looks great and nice paint job as well. Nice work.

Thanks! I agree too. FUJIMI provide 2 grilles, one with 4-headlamps, one with two. Both with oversized headlamps, which really look odd.

Re: VOLKSWAGEN GOLF Mk1 GTI (FUJIMI)

Cool, great looking build. It's almost refreshing to see a Golf built stock! (Not sure the doll adds much, though. )

The headlights do look a bit overlarge, but painting the edges of them in black would help alot. If you can 'pop' them off of the grille, you could paint them with a small brush or toothpick, and gently scrape off any paint that runs onto the front or back faces. I think it would fix the issue, and look terrific.

Thanks for your advice. But I already gifted the model to someone... will try the technique on next one. Thanks!
