swaping seats
will seats in a 1991 honda civic fit on an 89 honda civic dx? More specific will it be bolt on?

Yes. If you're talking about the front seats, they are directly swappable with any trim civic or CRX between '89 and '91

Not true..the crx rails are different, they bolt down on the inner rail rather than sideways.

I was in a salvage yard the other day and took a 1994 seat and put it in a 91 HB. The rails were the same front to back and only off by about an inch and a half side to side, which is an easy fix. The seats were in a EX which had the sunroof removed which alowed the car to fill with water everytime it rained and rusted out the bottom of the seat. So i wouldnt limited my search to only 88-91 seats. I think the 90's seat are much nicer for stocks.

Best non aftermarket seats ive ever seen, 88-91 SI seats..soooo comfy, massive bolsters, stylish looking. I also like the ep3 seat as well but Im not willing to put down a testicle to get a set.
