Post 96' Olds Cutlass Supreme Shutter/Vibration

I have a 96' Olds Cutlass 3100 shuttering or vibration problem. Once the vehicle is at operating temperature and I'm cruising anywhere between 40 - 65 mph, the vehicle has a very bad shake to it. Feels like the whole engine and tranny wants to jump out of the car. It lasts for about 3-4 seconds and if I am highway driving, sometimes tends to re-occur in 3-5 minute cycles. 68-75 mph the shutter tends to quit but not always. Thought problem might be the tires or possible wheel bearings but tires have be changed, wheel bearing feel tight but problem still exists. Don't believe the problem is in the tie rods or rack & pinion; no shake in the steering when shuttering occurs. Tranny shifts through all gears with no problem but for some reason the I am thinking the shutter may be a tranny problem. Anyone have any ideas?

Welcome to AF.

Sounds like you might have a mount damaged, could be the trany or a lower engine mount.

That is, if your tires and rims are not damaged, bent or busted belts.
