The Acura 3.2 TL serves as another example of Honda's Acura division taking a Honda automobile (in this case the Accord), working with it through time to have it evolve into a different entity. And once again they have succeeded in scoring with a luxury automobile that comes in at a starting price lower than those of its direct competitors, in part due to Acura's strategy of loading the "base" model with most of the options that luxury car owners desire in their cars.

To date, the 3.2 TL comes with the sole option of a satellite navigation system, while including leather, ubiquitous power equipment, and a smooth quiet cabin as standard fare for the price of entrance (~$29,000).

This will change soon, when the 3.2 CL (coupe) Type S, 260-horsepower variant of the 3.2 TL 225-horsepower engine becomes available in the sedan. This promises to improve its performance, performance (for example 0 to 60 in 7.4 seconds) that already places the TL near the top of its peer group, including the Lexus ES 300 and Infiniti I30.

Exclamation

That's approximate going price . . .

Understand that the ODO has most likely clocked several thousand miles . . . probably close to 100k if not more . . .

Not bad on an Acura . . . well . . . on a Honda engine . . .

What the fastest time you ever seen CL-S/TL-S? For me it was 6.2 seconds for 0-60mph.

Good deal

1996 Acura 3.2 TL Premium Black/Black

Near Perfect Condition Mechanically and Cosmetically, Clean Title, 130,000 Miles

$7,500 (Cars are cheaper in the North-East though)

But...According to carfax it has a everything is perfect cept it has 1 found accident record, its in a small town and was January 16th, during winter so it coulda just beena sliding thing, Carfax just simply says Accident...it could be a head on collision or a fender bender with them

I asked the seller and see what he says either way im gonna double check his answer by calling the Police station and filing for the Police report. I know the town shouldnt be too much trouble, if all that checks out ill go see it and probally buy it. its beautiful.

Honda and Acura cars do not come with traditional factory options. They come in models like EX, LX, Type-S, etc. That is so if you can get what you want without having to have the dealer have to go search for the exact model. That is a major reason for their great success.

I just bought a 99 3.2 TL two days ago for 16500. It has 63000 miles. I bought it from a dealer. I love it, I tracked down the owner, and talked with him for a while. The car is impecable. I love it. I love the HID's too.

Question 97 TL

My girlfriend is looking at a 97 with 70K on it for only 12.5. So I have been trying to do some research for her. I know the car has a timing belt but I haven't gotten a solid number on when it should be changed. I have seen everything from 60 -100 k, can somebody clear that up for me? Also are there any other specific things we should look at on the Ac before we buy it? I haven't been able to find as much info on the net as I thought I might be able to. Thanks in advance.

Thumbs up Acura purchase

I have the 1998 3.2 TL gold kit purchased from a dealer w/51K for $16K.
it has been a great car I bought it 2 years ago. The only thing you need to keep tabs on is the powertrain module and the timing belt as stated by someone else. My brother has the Vigor and his timing belt gave him a minute of trouble but he really don't keep up w/main. on his cars. The Acuras are great.
