OBDII and FSM

Folks,

would such a product here: http://www.manualsunlimited.com/prod...ducts_id=12821

be a good option? They apparently are throwing in a download or a CD of a FSM for "free." I'm not sure how much of the FSM is actually legit since they are letting you download for "free." What do you think?

Any help would be greatly appreciated...

Hi
Just an opinion, but that looks like kind of a chinchy (sp?) scanner. Also, if you are really going to do much maintenance I have found those "one size fits all" type of CD's (which that appears to be) to be a bit lacking. I would perhaps watch Ebay for a "real" factory service manual or look into an Alldata subscription. If on the other hand you just want to be able to quickly scan the computer and perhaps clear the light (albeit perhaps temporarily) this scanner might work OK. And if you do not intend to dig too deep on DIY maintenance the CD might be OK although again you may find it cheaper on Ebay.

Just an opinion. However as a fairly busy DIY'er, I personally would move on.
