94 Wont start ran fine last night?

Hi all as title states i have a 94 that was running just fine last night and today when i go to leave for work. i turn the key and get a single click noise, i brought that battery to be tested everything looks fine. I know when i purchased the car it had a brand new starter installed. The car does need a new cam sensor which i have yet to install. i just drive it in overdrive and it resolves the constant shifting problem i see when in regular drive. Any idea what it could be like i said its only a single click not multiple which usually has to do with starter.

overnight will charge batt and clean terminals just to be sure

Be sure to peel back the insulation on both terminals to expose what is on the inside, especially the positive cables. Cleaning the terminals is not sufficient they need to be sanitized! Remember, remove the negative cable first!

Re: 94 Wont start ran fine last night?

Will def do that, any other idea what it might be? it doesn't sound much like a starter problem as its only a single click. I have also read a little bit that there is some sort of relay under the driver's seat that is prone to shorting due to water coming through the floor board . now this may make some sense to me because my buddy's driveway is unpaved and has a good amount of water in some of the ruts, maybe a cause ?

if so how could i check it?

could fuel pump failure be a cause? ( if so the engine would at least try to turn over correct? just not fire up)

thanks for your time and patience

just need to get this car to last me through the winter then its vr4 time ha!
