Cut n fold rear bumper

I have started this poll here and a couple of other places to see what the results are and maybe drum up some business for getting rear bumpers manufactured.

For those of us in here that use our XJ's for off roading and have or plan on doing the cut n fold to the rear quarter panels, who would be interested in a rear bumper that incorporated guards for the quarter's.

Re: Cut n fold rear bumper

Alright you wise a$$, what I'm trying to do is drum up enough business for rusty to actually start production of a rear bumper like he used on his orange xj here
http://rustysoffroad.com/mm5/merchan...gory_Code=BODY

When I talked to him he said that it was a 1 off that he made just for it and didn't plan on any production of it because not many people were willing to cut up their rig. So I'm trying to see what people think and if there is a big enough calling for it maybe he'd start production. I'm planning on doing the cut n fold very soon but all the rear bumpers I've looked at are just square tubes that would stick out like a sore thumb and possibly get ripped off if a rock was to get caught between the bumper and tire. So if you're a member of other jeep sites start up a poll or a thread and let's see what kind of response and demand there is for it, and then I can contact him and maybe get into production.

Re: Cut n fold rear bumper

Yah I saw his site mentioned on NAXJA for the sliders so I sent him an email on how much the rear bumper would be without the tire carrier or anything just the plain bumper with the corner protection. To bad I couldn't talk Rusty into production of his rear bumper with the corner protection as having the tube in the rear would match the tube front that I got from him. And why are you going exo? Are you afraid of a little body damage?

Re: Cut n fold rear bumper

Hellz yeah! My rig to too pretty to get smashed up! Plus they look cool... lolz

I just some more snooping in his forums section to see how he's making out. Seems he will have more time to work now that some 'issues' have been sorted. Sometimes his email will junk you for no good reason.. If you don't hear from him, call.

Don't forget he enjoys doing the custom work too.. Rear tube? No problem, I bet!
