how to adjust clutch cable?

I have to push the clutch all the way to the floor a few times to get it in gear and it snaps back up when I let it off and I dont feel any tension on it at all. Can some one point me in the right direction on what to do and how to do it? 1990 Probe LX 3.0

I belive Probe use hydraulic clutches. you've probably got air in the system and need to bleed it.

Re: how to adjust clutch cable?

To bleed the system:

1 Remove the rubber cap from the bleed valve from the slave cylinder. Fit a tube over the valve and immerse the other end in a container of clean brake fluid.
2 Have another person pump the clutch pedal slowly several times. Hold it down.
3 Loosen the bleed valve to let air escape. When the bubbles stop flowing from the tube, tighten the bleed valve.

The fluid in the master cylinder will drop during this step. Don't let it fall below
1/2 full or air will be sucked into the system and you'll have bleed the system again.

4 Repeat steps 2 and 3 until no more bubbles can be seen flowing from the tube.
5 Close the bleed valve and install the rubber cap.
6. Operate the clutch to make sure it works okay.
