crappy idle 89 22re

ok when its cold it starts up ok but when it warms up the idle will increase for about 2-3 seconds then decrease for 2-3 sec. It wil also get hot. I've replaced the coolant temp sensor (the one for the ecu) and a new radiator cap, adjusted the idle bypass on the throttle body and messed with the V.A.F. doohicky (like turning the little gear under the plastic cover clockwise and c.clockwise .
