Just looking for some advice....
I am taking my 89 in tomorrow to a frame specialist. Keep getting told that its the trailing arm, and I have posted about it a few times. They told me that it pulled through the frame, after it hollowed out a place on the frame....something like a 5/8 hole went up to over 1 inch in diameter.
It causes the car to wander alot all over the road, and of course, makes the driver's side tire rub on left turns (trailing arm is supposedly the problem/located on driver's side) I guess my question would be like, How much should I expect to pay to do something about this? I'm really a rookie when it comes to these weird suspensions on this kinda car and dont know what to expect, or do you think I could fix it in my garage with a little welding to the frame? I just dont wanna go in tomorrow and get the whole "your car has MAJOR issues" speech, and get a ENORMOUS estimate while expecting a smaller one. Any help is greatly appreciated!! |

Re: Just looking for some advice....
Welcome to AF, when the tire is dismounted the width and diameter are stamped inside the wheel. BTW start a new thread, do not jump into an unrelated issue, thanks.
