Brake Warning Light
Hi I Have A 2002 Tauras Ses.the Brake Light On Dash Would Go On Once In A While. I Knew The Front Bads Were Worn So I Thought Maybe This Was A Warning Sensor. Anyway Changed Front Pads And Now The Light And Buzzer Stays On All The Time.is There A Sensor I Need To Reset. My Car Was Preowned And I Did Not Get Manual. Maybe Someone Will Know The Answer Before I Pull Off Rear Wheels And Check Drum Pads Ty

Re: Brake Warning Light
What buzzer are you referring to? The same chime that would sound if you left the key in the ignition and opened a door?
Is it the ABS light or the Brake light? Have you checked the fluid level in the master cylinder? -Rod |

Re: Brake Warning Light
sorry the red brake light and the chimes does sound the same as if you leave off seat belt. chime goes away after 5 minutes of driving but light stays on. fluid level is a little high just changed front pads.

Re: Brake Warning Light
I trust you made sure the parking brake is not partially engaged. Does the chime remain on constant for the 5 minutes, or is it a series of dings? Does the SRS/airbag light come on when you turn the key to the run position for the normal bulb test?
