Jetta with a bad engine

I have a 2001 GLX VR6 Jetta, leather, manual transmission, sunroof, monsoon stereo, 90,500 miles. It either needs a new engine or a valve job. I would sell it as needed either a new engine or extensive engine work. Without the problems, it would retail for around $10,000. Any guesses as to how much I could sell it for?
Any help is GREATLY appreciated!
Thank You!
