Question Faceplate HELP!

Hey, I recently just lost my faceplate for my stereo(JVC Arsenal Series KD-AR480). I called JVC and asked them how much it was just for the faceplate. They said $95.94 + $7.00(shipping). but if i wanted to pay that amount I might as well just buy a new stereo. I wanted to see if you guys had any suggestions. I've been restless over this for days. So if anyone has any suggestions please help me out! Thanks in advance!

Re: Faceplate HELP!

they mark them up so high to deter thieves from stealing the body, then buying a replacement face for like $20.

Re: Faceplate HELP!

Yup, to replace the faceplate for my Pioneer dehp77dh exact-fit deck (DIN 1.5) is $152.00 plus shipping.

You can pretty much figure paying about 1/2 or more of the total cost of the deck when purchased new, just to replace the faceplate.
