I don't like it personally, squishy suspension, 15" alloys, auto, in no way perfomance oriented (apart from the engine). If you are going to spend the money on that, why not get the spec-v that comes with all the goodies? Or if you want auto then get the base se-r.

spec-v base msrp - $17,200
LE base msrp - $16,600

For a difference of $600 you get so much more
It's a no brainer if you ask me

only good thing about 2.5 in a gxe is that you have one hell of a sleeper car. If that is what you are going for than it is a good idea

a spec-v is a sleeper, people dont give it the credit it deserves and they under estimate the car
i would just shave the badges so people wouldnt know what it was

I agree some what that spec v is a sleeper. However a lot of people are taking note of it. Even if you strip badges the wheels give spev v away to most street racers

when stock wheels cost like $500 each there is no real reason to change them. At least not for a while i would rather add intakes and chips and audio then change wheels but i guess i am "just learning" so i would not know i guess

lets here it for changing the stock wheels! hip hip, hurray!

sorry, its late, I can't wait till the summer when I have money so I can get my damn subzero's

Changing out your wheels and then selling the stockers is a great way to mod. You get nicer, stronger, lighter rims and if you play it right you can just about break even, not a bad deal if you ask me.

Well this summer I'm getting a set of 18" rota subzeros in royal black (black with polished lip). They each weigh 5lb less than the spec wheels and are 1" bigger. Heres a pic

Here's what I think you should do:

Get a Spec V, shave the badging, and trade bumpers with a GXE owner. Get some good strong aftermarket wheels (but nothing too flashy), and tint the windows so the Spec V detaila aren't readily visible from outside. They'll never see it coming.
