97 bonne won't start need help
I have a 1997 bonneville. It was working fine and then 20 mins after getting out of it, it wouldn't start. The battery isn't dead because the music plays. You can kind hear it wanting to turn over its not like the starter clicking. Any ideas???

Re: 97 bonne won't start need help
It takes a whole less amps to play the radio than to start the car!!! so all that means is that the battery is somewhat able to transfer voltage--
How about the battery connections- use a voltmeter and measure the voltage of the battery-- should be 12.5 or more on a fully charged battery. Do headlights dim when trying to start? Have you tried to jump start it yet?

Re: 97 bonne won't start need help
It may be hydrolocked. Try removing the plugs & see if it turns over or put a wrench on the crankshaft bolt & see if it'll turn.
