Need help replacing Camshaft sensor
Anyone replaced this sensor? My 02 TB is giving a P0014 code and I was told to start with the camshaft sensor but I'm having trouble getting it out. Anything other than the one bolt holding it in? Also I purchased a replacement from Autozone that appears to be a smaller part. Anyone else use this part? Thanks,

Re: Need help replacing Camshaft sensor
The camshaft sensor is located on the front of the engine, if you are facing the engine it would be on the front left side. Maybe you are looking at the camshaft actuator that is located on the left side of the engine which would require the power steering pump be moved to get it out. You should still check the actuator to make sure all three screens are still intact and clean the throttle body while you got your hands dirty.

Re: Need help replacing Camshaft sensor
That was it, my Haynes manual shows a picture of the sensor and actuator in the “replacing camshaft sensor” section which through me off. So I replaced the sensor and cleaned the actuator and throttle body which seems to have solved my problems. Thanks for your help.
