Unhappy Rust!

well, ive been lucky not to have any problems with this car up until now. theirs rust forming on the bottom of the lift gate ( hatch). apparently water gets stuck inside of the hatch and now rust has already begun......my question is what is my next step?...do i replace the entire hatch and start fresh, do i have a bodyshop cut it out and bondo it, or do i search a junkyard and replace it that way?..............another possibility is this stuff called p.o.r. 15 that stops rust

Re: Rust!

^^^
I just ended up putting exhaust tape on it.

Or you could do what I wanted to if you got the money and put a carbon one.

Re: Rust!

I believe whatever is more cost effective or what you want to do. A diff. Hatch may not help for as long as one of the other choices but any of them aren't a bad choice. Whatever makes you feel better inside.
