.. I read in a one UK mag review of EVO VII Extreme and ... That car rocks! Acc. 0-60 in 4.0 sec!!! ..347hp (or something like that).. I mean this car is amazing. You can acctually set up a car over a LCD that is inside, it has a CPU that controls the car, you can choose type of surfece that you are driving on (tarmac gravel snow) so car automaticly adjusts to it. WOW ... What can I say.. They said that EVO VII Extreme it's total M3 beater and M3 can eat it's dust. The only negative tone was the price of a car.. 39,999.00 british pounds is start price and it goes all over to 47,999.00 I think. .. WOW !!!!

That's cool, but isn't that a little slower thant the regular EVO VII? I thought the stock one did 0-60 in 3.8(9?) seconds. I might be wrong. BTW, what's the name of that magazine? Is it by any chance Evo?

The regular evo VII does 0-60 in 4.4, some people have it rated as high as mid 5's, but that's because they're either driving restricted versions or on the wrong gas, or just plain don't know how to drive it, it's a 4.4 sec car and modded versions always seem to be around 4.0. The fastest I've seen posted is 3.8, and that's damn fast for that car, so 4.0 ain't too shabby for a 40-50K evo, where'd you get 3.8 for a stock evo for?!? If it went 3.8 stock, then modded versions would be running low 3's or faster, and it would be just about the fastest road car in the world! You couldn't have been expecting that for a $30,000 car, did you?

shoulda been 4.8, mea culpa. Yeah, 3.8 would be ridiculously fast for a $30,000 car. in any case, 0-60 in any thing under 5 seconds is awesome.

I don't know exactly which magazine that was.. I red it in a bookstore. I don't read euro magazines, even though I am from Europe (I am studying in US right now) because in every euro mag Mercedeses or BMWs are always a winners of a tests. Motor Trend is my choice.. But I will find out which magazine was that and I will post it and probably buy it. You have about 3 full pages of review of Mitsu Lanc-Evo 7 Xtreme. I only told you some most significant things, but I will tell you more if I buy a mag. I think that this car can go straight head to head with Ferrari Maranello or Modena and I can bet that it's even more agile and driveable than those two. I have to say that I don't agree that price is a minus.. I mean just because it's a Mitsubishi it doesn't mean that it has to be free. It's just not fair that someone say it's ok to give $40,000 for BMW 3 series but it's not ok to give that money for 347 hp Lancer Evo VII... You want performance you have to pay for it.
Another thing about accelaration .. One guy from Britain told me that he drove racing version of Lancer Evo VI WRC and when he pressed the gas he almost finished up on a rear seat together with his front seat, mecanicals told him that from 0-60 car does it in 3.1 sec |
