Please Help!!

I have an o4 passat 1.8T. Driving around yesterday and car was running fine all morning. All of a sudden it starts to like bog out and slows down some. The car still ran enough to get me home but the check engine started flashing at me. So I changed the spark plugs and put some injector cleaner in, drove around some and still same problem? Any ideas what this could be? Any suggestion would be helpful! Thanks

Re: Please Help!!

Your problem could be diagnosed better with an OBDII scanner to tell you what code the ECU has tripped.

My guess is the Ignition Module or whatever the fancy term is for it. Basically cuts out Cylinder #2 and your car runs like crap.

Re: Please Help!!

Go to Autozone, they'll check for free. Write down the codes, as there could be more, and either post it here, or do your own research on i-net.

Re: Please Help!!

if you have misfire codes, you most likely have a bad coilpack. Its a common issue with 1.8t vw's
