What causes the rough downshift from 2-1 on my '07 Town & Country? (No check engine light)

Re: '07 Rough Downshift 2-1
This seems to be a common problem , had it on our 2007 also . It seems to be lessening as the miles go on. At about 10000 miles it started to get less noticeable and will probably get less and less as the miles go on . I knew about the TSB but I am always leary about anyone working on a tranny unless it is totally broke, could just make things worse. At 12000 miles now it is almost gone . I guess thats the decision do you want them messing with the tranny or wait and see if it goes away on its own.

Re: '07 Rough Downshift 2-1
It now has over 25k miles. The rough downshift is usually in stop & go traffic.
I think they can fix this without even touching the tranny. The TSB said something about a "reflash". Isn't that kind of like a software update for the ECM? |

Re: '07 Rough Downshift 2-1
I'll take the old 3 speed auto I had in my 96 over this 4 speed slush box any day . That thing shifted great right up until i got rid of it with 120000 miles on it. Not impressed with the 4 speed , even after 20 years they haven't gotten the thing right...
