Service Ride Control

Ok, I finally replaced my 2001 1500 4wd Suburban Autoride shocks with Delco air shocks in the rear, and Sensa-Trac shocks in the front. Now the information center is telling me to Service Ride Control. I'd like to disable the message, as I have no more ride control.

I saved the old shocks in case the answer is to hack off their tops and plug them in to the connectors. BUT, I'd sure like a better solution.

I have searched the forum, but there seems to be no answers so far... I have seen the "disable ride height" answer, but I still want the air shocks to be self-leveling. As I understand the system, the self-level function is independent of the ride control system. right? The self leveing feature is a function of the linkages and limit switched on the trailing arm, but the ride control is a function of varied viscosity in the shock res. Am I crazy or are these systems independent?
