92 Lumina overheating

Very recent problem. I'm going to be replacing the thermostat, and also the fan motor. Anything special I should look out for? From what I've seen and heard, the thermostat replacement is a lot more involved than on a lot of other cars.

if engine has been overheating pressure check for leaks first..if it is determined that it is dirty/sludged you will need chemicals to clean system.. when adding coolant if you donot drain engine completly find coolant capacity and calculate the proper amount of antifreeze to use...when flushing coolant system do so with thermostat removed......
