Question Starting Issue

Hey,

I have a '98 Blazer Sport which seems to get drunk every now and then and won't start. I've had it looked at by 5 mechanics, all of whom are just as oblivous as I.

I actually have a [crappy] video of it which whenever YouTube'll process, I'll post.

Detail on the problem: every once in a while, I'll try to start my truck (as I normally do; I use it everyday), the engine will roll over, the fuel pump'll kick on etc. etc. However, when the engine goes to idle, it'll just completely cut off. I can't press the gas to keep it going, or anything. It's almost like the fuel injectors (which have been replaced) shut off; the fuel pump has been recently replaced as well.

You'll have to forgive me because I'm not a "car guy". There's just too much to 'em and I honestly don't care to get to know 'em 'cause I've got a lot of other stuff going on. So, in light of that, please ask questions and be patient with me as I obviously haven't provided you with enough information to diagnose the vehicle.

Also, before I submit, I should also mention that when the truck will actually start the Engine Service light does NOT turn on, nor does the Security (I assumed it was a problem with the Passlock Sytem, but in those cases the Security light IS on).

Thanks everybody for taking a look and hopefully you'll be able to provide some feedback. And again, I'm sorry for not being able to provide every detail about the truck, but if you ask, you shall receive.

CJ

Edit: YouTube was faster than I thought; here's the video. Sorry for the quality and also, you may have to turn up your volum if you want to hear the truck start.

For whatever reason, I couldn't edit my message, but here's the video. Sorry for the quality and also, you may have to turn up your volume if you want to hear the truck start.

Re: Starting Issue

Have you cleaned the battery cable ends (positive terminal has 2 cable, take the bolt completely out of cable ends and check for corrosion on bolt as wellas tarnish between the 2 cable ends). Clean negative also.

Yeah, they've been cleaned pretty recently (few weeks ago). Thanks for the reply!

Alrighty; sounds logical. Not to sound like an idiot, but how would I go about doing this? Should I need any specific equipment to do this?

Thanks for the help, guys.
