Angry Need Help With Brakes!!!

im tryin to bleed the brakes on my 86 b2000 and i cant get any pressure. it pumps air and a little bit of fluid but nothing else. i have noticed that there is air bubbles in the master cyl res. every time i pump air bubbles float up in the tank. what could be wrong with it?

ok figured it out. i need a brake booster. anyone know where i can get a good used one?

Re: Need Help With Brakes!!!

Booster won't help with your issue. Sounds like a master cylinder issue to me. Get one with lifetime warranty, and match up the depth of the adjustable pushrod to the "plunge" in the old master cylinder to the new one (important). I woundn't even bother with a used booster, as they's be 20 years old; I got my replacement from Checker (Checker/Schucks/Kragen) for about $125. Can check them out with a hand vacuum pump, or a vacuum gauge while on a running vehicle.
