" Jet Chip Performance Control Module (PCM): ok a lot of you believe in it, but it’s the same thing as the TPS TEC and Venom 400. you can also do the same thing with your foot. I wont get TOO in depth on this, but it’s a waste of 100 used, or 200+ dollars new. Karo, dynoed this beast of a faux mod and gained like 1.3 or 1.5 whopping HP. Aka, for the price, you could have done better. But like said above it’s the same as pressing harder on the gas. To read more about it in depth, I’ll refer you to the JBO main library listing for it. http://www.j-body.org/faq/10/20/ "

Straight from the HOW TO: Make your car go faster sticky thread.

i seriously doubt that extra 1.3-1.5 horsepower gain was becuase of the chip, it was probably a tad colder outside, or the air was a little bit drier with that second "jet chip" run

I guess my first question would be, If it is so good why does your friend want to sell it? I put one on my 2002 Firebird and it did nothing. I was lucky enough that I got a refund on mine. I also read online "wild weasel" that down the road it could cause damage to your engine.

Question Re: any body runnen a jet performance chip in a 2000-2003

Check www.wildweasel.ca/howto/auto/IATSensor.aspx This is where I found out that it may not be a good idea to use the chip or module. You be the judge.
