Brake light replacement - how to remove the lens

I've taken out the two screws but can't get the lens off. Is there a special way to pull it off?
I have a 2000 Ody.


edit: I figured it out. Don't bend or twist the lens. The far end of the lens is held secure with a kind of ribbed nub/stud, so I had to stand near the wheel facing the rear and push at the lens to break the resistance of the nubs. Kind of hit and push with the palm of hand. Like if your home sliding door didn't have a handle and you would put your palms on the glass to push it open. Same kind of idea.
