You are right that it is an often discussed subject; however, there is nothing in the rules that says members of this forum cannot discuss their modeling wishes. You can simply ignore the thread.

**Moderators, how come I can't edit the thread title? I want it to read "Wish list - Aston Martin DBS" so that people can choose to ignore it if they don't want to read wish lists?

I sent a mail to Fujimi just before the Casino Royale movie came out, and they replied to me, thanking for my imput.

I can't read or write japanese, but I sent an email to [email protected]. Maybe Hiroaki knows a different address?

Maybe we should start a petition, whereby a letter bearing all of our names and email addresses is sent to the manufacturer with a request or two. The more people on the petition, the better we can make our case that a particular model would be profitable for the manufacturer. We could even spread the petition to other modeling forums, including Scale Auto and Scale Plastic Cars UK. **Of course, we would need to hold a vote on which models ideas to send to the manufacturer.

...And thus will be the downfall. You only need to search on the countless 'wish list' threads here to see that there is no consensus at all about what cars people want to see kitted. Everyone has their own favorite, and no one's is the same.

Truthfully, Fujimi has their own market research dept (as doest Tamiya, RoG, etc) who's opinion they value much more than those of a half dozen modelers sending emails.

Sure, it doesn't hurt to try- you might even get back a nice email thanking you for your interest- but don't get your hopes up that you'll ever see an Aston in anything other than resin....

just another remark concerning wishlists:

From a guy, who just came back from the Nürnberg Toy Fair I learnt, that there are no new kits from the big manufacturers (Tamiya, Fujimi, ...) announced (except what we already know), you´ll just see some reissues in the future.

Rumors say, that Tamiya could bring a model of a German car (racing ? street?).
