Wheel Stud Replacement

i took my van and had the tires changed and the guys must of cross threaded the nut on one of my wheel studs, I ended up snapping it off, now I need to replace it... do I have to take the hub out or is there enough room to get a new stud in with out ???/

the studs knock out of the hub with a punch .a good parts guy can get you the correct one by the year ,make and model. get the stud and nut. usually when i put it back in i get a bigger nut and pull it in a little then after i get everything back together take the tire tool and pull it the rest of the way as i tighten the lug nuts up with the tire on.an impact is tough on lug nuts.

The studs and the hole it goes into have splines, so be careful not to spin the stud when you install it otherwise it won't "lock".

I don't think you have to remove the hub. There should be enough room just to pass stud it in from the back. I've done this on my 97 Voyager a few years ago. Not sure about the venture.
