best fuel pump?

OK, so our second astro just lost it's first fuel pump, it's an '02 with about 70k. I replaced the pump in the last one at about 100k and 130k, then sold it.

Is there a better brand that works better? I read about checking resistance, and changed the harness on the first one. I'm shopping and the best deal I can find is about $270, I'm hesitant to go back with AC/Delco because of past performance.

Re: best fuel pump?

I've used Carter with good results. Also....Intek I think.

To ensure long pump life, make sure you aren't running around with 1/4 tank or less alot. You'll burn that pump up.

Re: best fuel pump?

normally I would stick with factory stuff, but 2 of the pumps I've replaced were factory.
