Industry Paint Query

hi there, i'm new here. i recently decided to redo modelling as i am a little fed up with comps. So i decided to paint my old corvette. the problem is that when i use the Anchor paint, the plastic body has some melting-like effects..my dad said this was due to the fact that the paint has thinner and can melt the plastic. so, if this is true, how do i overcome this problem? i do not have extra cash to buy dedicated Tamiya spray paint..

Re: Industry Paint Query

This isn't a free option - but use a surface primer that is marked as safe for plastics. It will serve as a buffer between the plastic and the chemicals in the paint. It also helps you identify spots that need additional work before putting the paint down, and can lead to much better finishes in the end . . . .
