Front Brake Caliper Torques, 2004 Alero
I have a 4-cyl. 2004 Alero with aluminum front brake calipers and I haven't found any aftermarket manuals. I'm replacing a sticky caliper with two new ones but don't see any torque specs listed on the net, or on this forum in tables.
I did see one recent post that addressed a 2000 Alero, but don't know if it had the same front calipers (cast iron / aluminum) or mounting design. Thanks in advance, pcar916 |

Re: Front Brake Caliper Torques, 2004 Alero
Welcome to AF.
That most resent post, the 2000, is the same as your 2004. They all have aluminum calipers. Make sure you lube up the slide pins with brake grease or you'll have troubles down the road. And the wear indicator pads goes on the inside of the rotor.
