1991 caravan starting problems

the starter is trying to start even when the key is off. It already fried one starter. Would it be the ignition switch suck on the start postion???

Have you tried removing starter relay? It is located under hood, passenger side above strut tower on fender well in the relay box.

no i havent tryed that. thanks i will try that. is it a common problem on these things?

Arent you sure its not the ignition switch??

Nobody can be sure of anything if they can't get their hands on it. You'll have to troubleshoot. Do you have a voltmeter/multimeter and have an idea how to use it? Come on back.

thanks for the replys but it was a faulty starter. what i did was removed the relay, unplugged the wire harness from the igniton switch in the steering colum and it still started. the starter was stuck in the start postion. just changed starter and its fine..
