Transmission Question

I recently purchased a 2000 GMC Sierra, automatic, with a 5.3L engine, V8. From what I understand, the vehicle was well maintained, and I have put over 10000km on the vehicle already with no problems.

It currently has 249 470 kms on the odometer, and I have just serviced my transmission (fluid was starting to turn brown), and cooling system (same reason).

What I was wondering is whether I should begin getting concerned about the life of my transmission. So far there has been to slipping, or anything to concern me, but am trying to determine the expected life of these transmissions to see when I might expect to have problems. It's not currently being used for any heavy towing, just regular use for the most part.

Anything would be helpful.

Thanks.
