95 sonoma starter problem
when i start my sonoma the starter stays on and makes a pretty loud sound.
i could turn off my truck in drive and then but it in neutral or park and it starts im only 17 years old and dont know wat the problem is can u please help me |

You need to do a little testing.
Does the ign switch come back off of start position to run good? Are you trying it only does it in park or neutral and quits when you put it in drive? You need to find the purple start wire to starter solenoid and test it for 12 volts on it after it starts. You can test it at starter or at neutral saftey switch or in between them. Let us know what you find. MT Let us know If voltage is still on it after start up.

When i shift it into drive it turns off and when i turn off my truck the clock stays on wich kills the battery

Better check the ign switch start position for turning off.
I would kill the clock before it kills the battery.
