It's funny to drive, but frankly, I don't really like the design of the R4.

I know well this car and drove one. I knew some poeple who had one. But I don't like the design. I prefer a Peugeot 104 for this year, or even a Fiesta.
And currently, I don't really like the Kangoo neither

Dauphine was a funner car to drive (I think it looked better too) I don't know if they sold the 4 in the U.S. officially.

The 4 was not sold in the USA. The 5 was under the name : LeCar... but this car was not "finished", well done alas !

I know that there were models that Renault did not sell "officially" but you could get through special order, like the panel van that used the Dauphine's engine (I found in a Junkyard along with a 4cv)
And I know that Citroen did the same thing - although the 2cv wasn't available at most dealers after the early sixties you could still have it special ordered if you wanted too (I think up until 1968 anyway)

Here un Argentina we still see those cars (almost dead rolling in the streets)
2cv, 4cv

But the Reno 5.. I never never saw it here
Reno 5gti its very funky, y like it, I had some pictures buy i ve lost them
