Opinions on Buick LaCrosse

What do you Buick drivers think of the LaCrosse? I've had a 2000 Century for years, but it's getting quite a few miles on it. The LaCrosse seems a much sportier car, which is great, but am I correct that it doesn't get as good gas mileage as the Century. Any one have any input on reliability.

Thanks

Re: Opinions on Buick LaCrosse

I do not think much about the Lacrosse that took the place of the Regal which IMO was a big marketing mistake by GM. The new VVT V6 engines like in the CXL model leave alot to be desired. The SIII 3800 found in the other models is still a great engine and overall reliable. Visit the Buick Lacrosse forum to see any problems owners are having being addressed on AF.

The only reason why your Century probably got better gas mileage is because it has the 3100 SFI V6 engine. However, owners with the SII or SIII 3800 get fairly decent gas mileage considering. But the EPA ratings on the window sticker are bogus and not based on the real world.
