Engine Failure

I have another issue thats bothering me right now...

I know that with having just the 3.4L Impala I should expect much power, but I keep running into and issue with acceleration on the highway.

I havn't really made any performance mods to her so I'm guessing that having all of the stock parts may be an issue...

When I'm driving on the highway (or street for that matter), I get on the gas the engine fails and my engine light blinks on and off as if it was working to hard... I've done 112 a few times but within the past year if i push the gas and try to accelerat quickly I get this problem...

Is it me, or should I have it checked?

Re: Engine Failure

Well...trust me...there is a reason why I ask....I do the same thing...but...last week....ALL OF MY OIL...was gone....

The only way that I found out about it was that I accelerated and my engine started moving as usualy...then...I lost some engine power.....

Lo and behold...I pulled over...and there was NOT a drop of oil in my engine. I was totally shocked because ....like you said...I always changed my oil...and it NEVER was low at any change....

Now I have a clicking sound maybe a lifter that has been damaged...because of the acceleration...when no oil....

Anyway...trust me.....just check it again to make sure.......better save than sorry....
